To me, this is where the magic of life resides.” Janet McDonald Nanaimo, BC based artist, Janet McDonald, works in acrylic and oils. She loves the buttery feel and blend-ability of oils to whip up a Latin or Hawaiian Dancer, and the brilliance of the acrylic colours and their quick-dry nature for wildlife. Whatever the subject matter, strong colour and light are consistent components of her unique style. Janet re-discovered her artistic talents in mid-life (now that’s a good crisis!)....
