This is the first in my series entitled �Caf� Cantante�. The title of this painting refers to the �counter beat� that helps gives Spanish Flamenco its intensity. This painting tells a story of 2 lovers who are swept away in the heat of the dance. Unbeknownst to them, the guitarist looks on intently: the �contra tiempo� to their story.
