This Great Blue Heron is back lit by the golden hour sun while it dries it's wings showing this beautiful animal in all it's glory. I use the "vibrational" textured background and dramatic colours to accentuate the majesty of this magnificent bird.
THE MAGIC IS IN THE MOMENT: “I paint Moments. The textured under-paintings and colours I use in my work illuminate the energy of the moments I paint. My mission as an artist is to remind us to allow the beautiful moments of our lives to wash over us. To me, this is where the magic of life resides.” Janet McDonald Nanaimo, BC based artist, Janet McDonald, works in acrylic and oils. She loves the buttery feel and blend-ability of oils to whip up a Latin or Hawaiian Dancer, and the brilliance of the acrylic colours and their quick-dry nature for wildlife. Whatever the subject matter, strong colour and light are consistent components of her unique style. Janet re-discovered her artistic talents in mid-life (now that’s a good crisis!)....

I would be interested in seeing how this looks on a duvet cover. Is it just not large enough? But you do offer it as a shower curtain.
Janet McDonald replied:
Hi Pauline, thanks for getting in touch. I've added the duvet cover as an option. I'm not sure why I can't seem to change the orientation to fit the duvet rectangle so it fits better, if you know what I mean. Because it's large enough to fit on a shower curtain I don't see why it wouldn't be larger enough image to fit on a duvet cover (at least a smaller one). Maybe you can play with it and see what you can come up with? Hope that helps. Cheers, Janet
